10 Last Minute Valentine’s Day Ideas

You don’t have too much time left until Valentine’s Day. If you’re scrambling trying to figure out what to do for that special somebody, don’t worry… we have some great last minute Valentine’s Day gift ideas!

1. Movie Night

Pop on one of your sweetie’s favorite Valentine’s Day movies, make some popcorn and snuggle up on the couch with your sweetie. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, throw in a bottle of wine and you’ve got yourself a good night. These days, Netflix, On Demand or whatever movie service you use will have special a special category for V-Day movies for you to pick and choose from.

2. Chocolates, treats… and lots of them!

Everyone has a sweet tooth. Why not spend some time with your loved one indulging in chocolate, cupcakes and cookies. You can either pick some ready-made treats or if you have a little time, buy boxed mixes. If you’re up for a real challenge find a recipe online and make it from scratch!

3. Make A Mix CD

You might think this is a little cheesy, but it’s super thoughtful and easy if you don’t have too much time. I mean, who doesn’t have a huge iTunes library these days? And if you don’t iTunes has a special category full of love songs that you can pick and choose from. Most songs are only 99 cents. Pick 10 and you’ve got yourself a cheap last minute gift that’s still thoughtful!

4. Write A love letter

When was the last time you got a love letter? These days it’s all about sexting in a lot of cases. Kick it old school – grab a pen, some fancy stationary and write down all the reasons why you love your sweetie. Trust us, this is way sweeter than a Happy Valentine’s Day e-mail or text.

5. Make Love Coupons

If you’re short on time and money this Valentine’s Day you can still treat your loved one to some goodies that will cost you nothing at all. Get some paper, markers, stickers, scissors and make some creative love coupons that your sweetie can redeem for things like a massage, homemade meal or everyday chores.

6. Spa Night at Home

Light some candles, throw some rose petals on the floor/bed, grab some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. Then prepare the tub with a nice bubble bath and let your boo relax. If you’re good at giving massages then get to it! There’s no need tospend tons of money at a spa when you can do a few things to relax at home.

7. Pamper Her

Treat her to a mani/pedi. Make her an appointment at her favorite hair salon. Take her to get her makeup done. Every girl loves to look beautiful so why not treat her to one or even all of these treatments (depending on your budget). Of course, after she gets all done up, you’ll probably have t take her out for a drink so she can show it off.

8. Gift Certificates

This may not be the most romantic option, but if you’re sweetheart loves to shop this could be a good option. Pair it with a single rose, bouquet of flowers, etc for an added special touch.

9. Indoor Picnic

Order takeout, light some candles, throw a blanket in the middle of the room and enjoy a nice indoor picnic. Your significant other will think you took tons of time to plan this. Really all you have to decide is whether to order Chinese, Indian or pizza!

10. Flowers

You may think this is a boring, played out gift. But there’s no doubt that every girl feels special when she gets flowers. If you’re really down to the wire there’s no better option than flowers and some chocolates. You can grab these pretty much anywhere on the big day.
