Top 10 Best Film Cults
With events like Lebowski Fest taking place at CELLspace last Friday and cult classic The Princess Bride showing at the Presidio Library last Saturday, it seems we need to give notice to those people who make the films what they are: the rabid fans.
10. A Clockwork Orange – Based on the book you most likely had to read in high school, this 1971 classic has a pretty big following in the UK, where the film was banned until 1999 following the death of the director Stanley Kubrick. Screenings of the film were tough to come by and usually were done by the hardcore fans. It takes true dedication to violate law to watch a film.
