Slash Debuts “Gotten” Video To Raise Awareness For Los Angeles Youth Network

Yesterday, Guns ‘N Roses’ Slash released a special video to help raise awareness for the plight of homeless youth in Los Angeles.

In conjunction with Los Angeles Youth Network, “Gotten” shows a young girl who lives in an abusive household. Right after her 16th birthday, the girl runs away from home and does she what she has to do to get by while living on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles. All the while, her mother drives around looking for her.

The video, which has an emotional surprise ending, features Slash on guitar and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine singing.!/Slash/status/185359362787786752

As well as his charitable deeds, Slash will soon add a couple other things to his rock and roll hat: On May 22, a new sophomore solo album called Apocalyptic Love and a spot in Cleveland’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

Slash said that he’d love to play their honorary ceremony, but it’s probably not going to happen.

“I would love to play,” Slash told to Loudwire. “It’s just, one of those things where I know that it’s not going to happen, so… I just did an interview and said, “I don’t think we’re playing.” [Laughs]. I mean I think it would be cool to play, but very early on when the whole thing came up, it became apparent that it wasn’t going to happen — and you know, that doesn’t surprise me. We’ve been at odds for, well not at odds, but we just haven’t had any sort of communication in a long time so… that’s basically it. That’s all I can tell you.”
