English Folk/punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner took a strange path on his way to his latest single “Recovery.” After attending, along side of Prince William, the prestigious Eton College and the London School of Economics, Turner took up music full time. Up until 2005, he fronted the post-hardcore band Million Dead – releasing two albums before the band’s break-up. Not wanting to start another band, Turner struck out on his own releasing his first first solo EP in 2006. The EP’s title serves as a great way to describe his fusion of punk and acoustic – Campfire Punkrock.

His fifth studio album Tape Deck Heart drops on April 23, 2013 and is lead off by the single “Recovery.”

Limited U.S. tour dates have been released (none in the Bay … yet) but keep you eyes peeled as his live shows are drunken punk/folk sing-a-longs. Details at frank-turner.com.
