Liz Saint John interviews three guests every Sunday morning covering a variety of issues and topics. She talks with representatives from Bay Area non-profit organizations, documentary filmmakers, authors, and professors.

1. Patrick Makuakane showcases his hula dance company at the annual Hula Show at the Palace of Fine Arts in October. Patrick talks about the history of hula and some of the special dances coming up in the show.

2. This Old Bag: The Power of the Purse is an annual event to benefit Breast Cancer Emergency Fund. It happens on October 18th at the St. Regis San Francisco. Hillary Newson Callan is the event chair and Mike Smith is Executive Director of Breast Cancer Emergency Fund.

3. Investigative Journalist Eric Schlosser takes on nuclear weapons and accidents in his new book “Command and Control.” He talks about the near-misses due to technical glitches, bad computer chips and human error.
