About:

fun. lead guitarist Jack Antonoff has been secretly working on the side project Bleachers for over a year and half. Recording tracks in hotels during FUN.’s last world tour. Bleachers’ debut single “I Wanna Get Better” was recorded in Sweden, New Zealand, Malaysia, and New York City

In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Jack stated, “I wanted to bridge the gap between Disclosure and Arcade Fire — something both streamlined and organic. The production and songwriting is extremely over-the-top, extremely epic and unapologetic. The record is all about finding a world where you can be kind to yourself in.”

“I Wanna Be Better” is about the story of Jack’s existence, an acid trip, and the death of his sister ten years ago. The full length debut album is slated to be released in the Spring of 2014. The album will be as Jack describes “massive, beautiful pop songs that sound f-ing cool.”
