Can’t get enough of AMC’s ‘Walking Dead’? You may soon be in luck as a prequel to the popular zombie series is reportedly in development.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the prequel, titled Cobalt, will be set in Los Angeles prior to the event of the show and feature the dawn of the zombie apocalypse. The series will be co-written by “The Walking Dead” graphic novel author Robert Kirkman and “Son’s Of Anarchy” writer Dave Erickson.
AMC has revealed very little about the show so far but have cast Cliff Curtis (Gang Related), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Woods) into key roles. No premiere date has been set.
Walking Dead will return after mid-season hiatus on AMC on Sunday 9/8c starting on February 8. Extras and full episode are available for a limited time at amctv.com/shows/the-walking-dead.
