It seems like a ton of shows are getting revamps and reboots lately, but this one is doing something special.

While the cult classic TV series “The Adventures Of Pete & Pete” may not be making a reprise, it’s official band is: Polaris is back.

The band was commissioned specifically to create music for the 90s Nickelodeon show as a superband that pulled members from New Haven and Miracle Legion, however, after they released their first and only record in 1999, the band fell off the map.

Then, in 2012, they began playing shows here and there. This year they plan to re-release their album Music From The Adventures Of Pete And Pete for Record Store Day, which includes the show’s hit theme, “Hey Sandy”.

But here’s the best part: they’re going out on a real tour, and they’re going to hit San Francisco. This April 24, the band will play The Chapel in the Mission.

Get tickets for the show here and jam out to “Hey Sandy” above.
