There’s an International Robot Film Festival, and where else should it take place than right here in San Francisco. It’s a festival for drone films (yes, there is enough drone footage now for an entire film festival) and after the success of the New York City Drone Film Fest, there is demand to see more. But this festival will have a new category. No, it’s not a “women changing” category, it’s a Drones For Good category. Because drones get a lot of negative attention they want to put more focus on how drones have helped fight fires, find missing people, and even drop supplies into war zones. So get ready for the Bay Area’s Robot Film Festival coming this November!

Female Viagra has been officially approved by the FDA! This drug is being labeled as “the biggest breakthrough for women’s sexual health since the pill.” Addyi is the name of the drug, and it’s designed to increase sexual desire in the brain, not increase blood flow like Viagra. At first, it was unsure if the FDA would approve it, but after people lobbied relentlessly that it was gender biased, it finally went through.

Updates on the curious case of Jared Fogle have come through. The Subway guy will plead guilty to possession of child pornography. He plans to accept a plea deal and a press conference will take place later today to discuss the plea and the charges against him. Subway has no comment but they have ended their relationship with Jared and I don’t think that Subway bridge will ever be rebuilt.

You may recall after the Giants won the world series last year, a certain “Chevy Guy” who sweated the equivalent of a small pool when he presented Madison Bumgarner with a 2015 Chevy Colorado. He became an overnight internet sensation, but what did Madbum do with the truck? Well, after all this time, the truck finally arrived in North Carolina so he could give it to his dad. Bumgarner’s more of a Ford guy, and his dad will get much more use out of it. It took so long because they had to customize it and get it to North Carolina. There are also many tech features on the car that his dad probably doesn’t know how to use, so they likely have to send someone out to show him.

The 420 mile marker on US highways is quite a hot commodity these days. College students and stoners everywhere can’t wait to get their hot little hands on them, which has forced Idaho to replace it with a 419.99 mile marker. People kept stealing the 420 mile marker, and this isn’t the only state. Colorado and Washington, both of which have legal recreational weed, had to replace signs on their highways for the same reason. Colorado also had to replace their 69 mile marker with 68.9. But there are some very cool college dorms out there with 420 and 69 mile road signs, and I’m sure their parties are EPIC.

Rosie O’Donnell posted on social media yesterday asking for help in locating her 17 year-old adopted daughter who she claimed hadn’t been seen or heard from in over a week. She was last seen leaving their house with her therapy dog. She also hadn’t been taking her medication which she needs to control her mental illness. Hours later, she was found safe in someone’s home in Jersey Shore. Police said the person who opened the door initially didn’t want to reveal that Chelsea was there. Soo…was she being held against her will? Or was she just trying to get away from Rosie O’Donnell?

There are plenty of Simpsons fans out there, but when a woman replicates her entire kitchen after Marge Simpson’s, she pretty much gets the award for ‘most-obsessed.’ Marcia Andreychuk, hailing from Canada, happened to have a kitchen set-up that was already similar in set-up to the Simpsons kitchen. But then she added the light blue countertop, purple cabinets, lime green stove and corn-patterned curtains. Her next step is to get older appliances and oversized knobs to put on the cabinets.

We talked a while ago about how Twitter is cracking down on joke-stealers. So it was only a matter of time before people get ostracized for plagiarism, and the latest comedian under fire is Josh Ostrovsky aka the Fat Jew. He’s developed a huge social media following, and has just been signed to CAA and sold a pilot to Comedy Central. For some, this was the last straw, and now comedians are coming out accusing him of stealing jokes without crediting them. They’re banding together to make sure Fat Jew is unfollowed by as many people as possible.

NBC has taken the plunge and invested in the slew of lists and quizzes that is Buzzfeed. Both companies announced yesterday that NBC is investing $200 million dollars in Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed is currently valued at 1.5 billion dollars, so that’s worth investing in, I guess. The deal is that both companies will work together on television, movies, the Olympics and partnerships with marketers. Buzzfeed said “We’re excited to partner with NBCUniversal to combine our respective strengths to build the future of news and entertainment.” So be prepared for NBC news to be filled with news on Jared Fogle followed by which dog matches your zodiac sign.
