May the soup be with you.
The Star Wars franchise – both as Lucasfilm and now with Disney – has never shied away from marketing partners. My youth was filed with Luke, Han, and more plastered on just about every conceivable thing. When the second trilogy launch in the 1990’s it was no different. Today, with the release of the J.J. Abrams helmed Star Wars: The Force Awakens on the horizon, the marketing blitz is in full … uh … force.
Campbell’s Soup has unveiled can labels that include Darth Vader, Yoda, Chewbacca, C-3P0, R2-D2, and Imperial Stormtroopers. The labels also state that they include “cool” or “stellar” shaped pastas.
So hop into your Star Wars pajamas and enjoy some Star Wars soup in your Star Wars bowl on your Star Wars place mat and watch for more and more Star Wars cross marketing before the film debuts December 18.
