INDIO (LIVE 105) — The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival officially released it’s line-up for 2016 on Monday night, confirming rumored headliners LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses while adding third headliner Calvin Harris and a myriad of other acts to fill out the sprawling celebration.
Festival promoter Goldenvoice released the line-up via Twitter early Monday evening.
The festival will be held outside the town of Indio over the course of two weekends: April 15-17 and April 22-24. Both LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses had surfaced as likely headliners in recent weeks. LCD Soundsystem will headline the two Friday nights, while Guns N’ Roses will top the bill on Saturday night. Harris will close out the two Sunday shows.
Other acts appearing high on the annual festival’s bill include Ellie Goulding, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Ice Cube, Disclosure, A$AP Rocky, CHVRCHES, Halsey, Sia, Major Lazer, Beach House and Rancid to name a few.
The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has established itself as one of the most successful festivals in the U.S. Since expanding to two weekends in 2012, the massive event has generally sold out, drawing up to 198,000 to the desert town of Indio and racking up over $80 million in ticket sales each of the past two years.
Festival passes will go on sale Wednesday, January 6th at 11 a.m. PST.
