One of the favorite shows of 90s kids everywhere is getting a new movie thanks to Nickelodeon.
Hey! Arnold creator, Craig Bartlett, posted this on Instagram:
Apparently titled Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie, it will pick up right where the original series ended, with the eponymous football-headed boy discovering a map that seemed to offer a clue to the whereabouts of his long-lost parents. The map was first revealed in part two of “The Journal,” the final episode produced in Hey Arnold!’s original run, which aired all the way back in 2002. That episode ended on a cliffhanger, with the network initially planning to wrap up the series with a second movie that would’ve featured Arnold finally uncovering what happened to his mom and dad (who only ever appeared on the show in flashbacks). That movie never got made, but The Jungle Movie will presumably be following the same plot.
UPDATE: ‘Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie’ will be released on November 23, 2017.
It will be a two-hour movie shown in two-parts. Creator Craig Bartlett posted this screen grab of the film this week:
