Los Angeles Metro bus and subway system has started to fine passengers for purposely taking up too much space.

The act of spreading your legs to keep someone from occupying the seat next to you or ‘manspreading’ will now cost you $75.

The act has increasingly been documented and shamed on social media over recent years but this appears to be the first place to attach a fine to it.
