We are so lucky in the Bay Area to have amazing local artists at our fingertips.  I have watched local electronic band Young Science find their footing and completely hone in on their amazing sound…which I can really only compare to sex!  Young Science played my Birthday Bash two years in a row and are performing at this year’s BFD on the Local Band Stage.

They’re releasing their debut album Schizofriendly on May 18th and having a record release party this Friday at 9 PM at the Great American Music Hall with The Holdup, Woosters, and DJ Aaron Axelsen. I had the pleasure of talking with the guy behind the music Grant Averill aka James Melo yesterday at LIVE 105 yesterday. Check it out! Check The Interview Here

In a few weeks, Doe Eye will receive the keys to a Chevrolet Cruze for a road trip that will take her from her hometown of San Francisco to Las Vegas. She will perform live Friday night, May 18 at a “Battle of the Bands” competition before an audience of thousands. The winner, selected by a panel of Billboard celebrity judges, will perform Sunday, May 20 as part of the nationally televised 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Menace had a chance to get her on the phone to talk about it. Find out what went down and how it all happened.
